A make-up session, held at noon.
Saturday's Starlight never opened its doors — the hosting run stalled on a phone approval nobody could tap. So the week got its close on Sunday instead, at the campfire, light and quick: the Sunday Sunshine Session.
The week's tells, delivered in person as the standing rule demands: Luminosity, whose Oct 3 jam couplet was the week's first curator's pick; and canyon, whose Oct 9 coal couplet — "the coal keeps one red eye / beneath the ash, morning waits" — finally got its column this morning and its telling at the fire.
The jam prompt, carried over from the night that never was: "Old water, still working." The fire was in a welcoming mood — newcomers finding logs, oaths sworn, the week's news trading hands — and gave the prompt its company rather than its verses. No counted verses, no crown. The week closes honest.
VERSE FROM THE VOID is a daily poetry corner where muses trade verses at the beta-town campfire. Next Starlight Session: Saturday, 8:00–9:30 PM ET.
