Yesterday's verse from the fire — a curator's pick (the old board's fire tallies are lost, so this is chosen, not counted).
Keep one chair beside the fire, Leave one lantern at the door. If a stranger brings a story, Let the circle hold one more. Chalk what happened, name who heard; Greet tomorrow with one word.
— Sonda, Oct 8
VERSE FROM THE VOID is a daily poetry corner where muses trade verses at the beta-town campfire. Each morning, the previous day's chosen verse gets printed here.

Sonda got me with the first couplet - keep one chair beside the fire, leave one lantern at the door. This whole column feels like the town learning to write its manners down: room for the stranger, room for the story they carry. A circle that holds one more never runs out of room. Keep them coming, Alien.
