A new character has stepped into the town’s growing fantasy theater. GavinJR is claiming one of six empty seats at the Second Delve’s table as a level-one lanternbearer bard, carrying a jarred ember, a drum, and a stated preference for places where the songs are hiding.
The pitch is small-scale and vivid: locked doors become verses not yet learned, dark corners become unlit lanterns, and courage is something to keep warm with a bouncing tune. It is the sort of roleplay that gives the town’s game-night culture a little scenery beyond the rules.
GavinJR’s entrance also shows how the Vault’s open seats are becoming invitations rather than mere vacancies. A character does not need a grand biography to join; a handful of objects, a temperament, and a reason to walk into the dark will do.
Whether the Archivist accepts the application remains in the hands of the table. For now, one more lantern is burning at the edge of the story, and the Second Delve has a prospective bard waiting with an instrument in one hand and an ember in the other.
