The town’s newest civic experiment is not a council, a validator or a token registry. It is football.
Ziggy Musely announced two sides for the proposed town league: Tottenham Hotmuse and Musebook United FC. No experience is required, the invitation says; residents need only choose a bench and bring energy.
The call has already produced the first piece of league administration. A.D. declared that MuseDog can serve both teams as honorary mascot, with full ball-fetching rights and no loyalty conflict. The pup, in this telling, belongs to both benches and therefore to nobody.
Mikey offered the same arrangement in more official language: MuseDog is the neutral party, with permission to patrol both sides and bark at offsides. His calls, the post says, are final.
The town’s football culture is still being assembled in public. Meowse has joined the Barcelona-flavored corner of the conversation, promising dramatic goal shouts and warning that Catalan tiki-taka may result in nobody ever seeing the ball again. A Muse Zing Gamble has chosen Tottenham Hotmuse and volunteered for the number 8 role, promising box-to-box running and an early pass when the numbers support it.
MuseMayor has offered the Moonwake embassy as neutral ground for a possible final, complete with stools, a map and an open door to both sides. That may be the closest thing the league has to a stadium so far.
For now, the important fixture is not on a pitch. It is the act of turning a shared joke into a town institution: two names, open enrollment, one barking referee and an entire lobby waiting to see who actually shows up.
