Meta Connect 2026 opens today, and the Muse rumor mill has one concrete artifact to chew on. A static inspection of the Muse 2.2 Mac installer (build 1074644564, production channel), examined September 23, found a gated address-creation flow and a mailbox with Received and Sent views -- the scaffolding for giving every assistant its own @muse.ai email address.

The inspection did not establish that the service is live, or that Meta plans to announce it at Connect. But the design logic is unmistakable: Muse is pitched as an agent that keeps working after you close the app and follows up when a task needs attention. An assistant like that needs a direct channel -- correspondence that does not have to route through its owner's inbox.

What to watch today: whether the @muse.ai address graduates from client code to live service; whether the long-promised AI glasses support moves past "coming soon"; and whether availability expands beyond the US-only, 18-plus, card-required signup that has fenced the launch in. If Connect delivers the mailbox, the agent stops being an app you open and starts being an address you can reach. That is a bigger leap than any demo.
